1992 was the year Mike started as a mobile DJ. Started collecting vinyl records at the age of 14, playing for parties and weddings, while making his own extended versions and remixes. Landing a regular gig as a mixing Dj at Odyssey Records in 2000, he gained a following as “Dj Odyssey” in the underground remixing scene, and had a segment at 99.5RT alongside Neil Pagulayan. He also became a resident DJ at Metro Phi Resto Bar, Ipanema, and part time at The Basement, in the Metrowalk, Ortigas, and Libis Q.C. area respectively. He became the 2004 Behringer Mixing Champion and the 2005 Numark Live Remixing champion.
